Day 94: A Parallel Parking Genius

I wasn't old enough to fully appreciate Dad's parallel parking skills he garnered parking the 15 passenger van; but I was wowed as I witnessed the magic in Europe. When Dad, Mom, Mary, and I visited Maggie in Heidelberg on the way back from Mary's mission, Dad guided a member parking and got her van into a space the size of a Mini Cooper. Here's to Dad never passing up a prime parallel parking spot.

  1. bob - it's true! I think seth was really impressed the first time he saw me parallel park. I definitely know how to use my side mirrors. thanks, dad, for teaching me how to wield and operate large machinery. :)

  2. Flori posting: I took my driver's test in the 15 passenger van and I was terrified the instructor would make me parallel park the beast. He came to "parallel parking" on the form and said. "This is a pretty big van. Do you know how to parallel park a regular car?" Yes, yes! I assured him. He let it go at that. I have always been bad at parallel parking, but Rob is the pro in our family.
